Mount Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan at 3,776 m (12,388 feet). It is located near the Pacific coast of central Honshu, about 60 miles (100 km) west of Tokyo. It is an active stratovolcano with symmetrical cone shape. Mount Fuji is the world-famous as a symbol of Japan. The mountain is part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.
